Tim Semanik

Tim Semanik has been the music director of the Salt Creek Chamber Orchestra since the 2011–21 season. He currently also serves as music director for the Bradley Symphony Orchestra and the Northwest Symphony Orchestra. He has previously served in similar positions for the Carleton College Orchestra, the University of Chicago Chamber Orchestra, the Central Illinois Youth Symphony and the Northern Illinois University Philharmonic. Dr. Semanik has guest conducted the Colorado Symphony, the San Diego Symphony, the Chicago Symphony, Chicago Youth Symphony, the Elgin Symphony, the Pacific Chorale, the Pacific Symphony Institute and Youth Orchestra, and the orchestras at Northwestern University and the University of Michigan. Mr. Semanik’s operatic credits include productions with numerous companies including Winter Opera St. Louis, Festival Opera, MIOpera, and Light Opera Works. He is currently music director for the Savoyaires and the First United Methodist Church of La Grange.
